Michelle Peluso, ‘93, a former Trustee of the Pembroke College Foundation, has been appointed IBM’s first-ever Chief Marketing Officer.
Michelle was formerly CEO of Gilt, the luxury ecommerce company. Before that she served as global consumer chief marketing and internet officer at Citigroup, and as CEO of the travel site Travelocity. Michelle has served as a director of Nike, Inc., since 2014
“Having sold Gilt to Sak’s earlier this year, I knew it was time for a new adventure,” Michelle told The North American Pembrokian. “I’m very excited by all IBM is doing in the growing spaces of cognitive and cloud and think the applications for making the world better with Watson in places like healthcare and education show enormous potential. What an honor to lead marketing for such an iconic and always transforming brand!”
