Hon. Philip Lader
Philip Lader, Pembroke ’67, is Non-Executive Chairman of WPP plc and a partner in the Nelson Mullins law firm. He was United States Ambassador to the United Kingdom from 1997 to 2001.
Phil served in President Clinton’s cabinet as Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration and was White House Deputy Chief of Staff, Assistant to the President, and Deputy Director of the Office of Management and Budget.
Phil is a graduate of Duke University and Harvard Law School. He is a former president of Winthrop University.
He and his wife, Linda LeSourd Lader, are founders of Renaissance Weekends.
