New Master of Pembroke College, Oxford—Dame Lynne Brindley

Dame Lynne Brindley, DBE, was sworn I as Pembroke’s new Master on August 1, 2013, succeeding Giles Henderson in the Master’s Lodgings.

Dame Lynne had been serving since 2000 as Chief Executive of The British Library.

“I am delighted to become part of the Pembroke family and so very much look forward to visiting the US and meeting American Pembrokians, of whom I have heard so many good things, and who have been such generous supporters of the College,” Dame Lynn told Pembroke College Foundation President Tom Herman who visited with her in College in October.
