What’s driving the reemergence of popularly supported autocrats and “illiberal” democracies? To what degree is the traditional western model of democracy relevant and suited for the days ahead?
“Democracy in Crisis” is the second in a series of important panel discussions organized by Pembroke College, Oxford focusing on major international issues. The first, an analysis of the 2020 US elections, featured Pembrokians Philip Lader ’67; Stuart Stevens ’72, and Sen. Angus King (I-ME) and is archived at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLDqkZmdp7M .
