Congratulations to Michelle Peluso, ’93, who has just been named as chairperson of Nike, Inc.’s Corporate Responsibility, Sustainability and Governance Committee.

Michelle, a former trustee of the Pembroke College Foundation, has been a director of Nike, the international athletic wear company, since 2014.

“Michelle is a superstar! We are incredibly proud that she is a member of the Pembroke family,” said Tom Herman ‘71, president of the Pembroke College Foundation. “For years Michelle has remained a generous and loyal friend of the College while at the same time blazing a brilliant trail in corporate America.”

Michelle is currently the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of IBM.  Previously she was Chief Executive Officer of Gilt, Global Consumer Chief Marketing and Internet Officer at Citigroup, and CEO of Travelocity.

“We are also so pleased that Michelle has agreed to serve as Chairperson of the Corporate Responsibility, Sustainability and Governance Committee,” said Mark Parker, Chairman, President and CEO of NIKE in announcing Michelle’s appointment. “Her passion, commitment, and leadership in the key strategic areas overseen by the Committee will help us build upon Nike’s leadership position.”
